The Davenport Broncos took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 62-12 win over Auburndale at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-10.
Sorayah Emilien had a dynamite game for Davenport, scoring 31 points along with 7 steals. Another player making a difference was Destiny Kim, who scored 8 points.
Davenport's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Auburndale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davenport will square off against Lake Wales at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Auburndale will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against George Jenkins at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st.
