Clifton-Clyde extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Sevy Wurtz. The Eagles walked away with a 53-40 win over the Beloit/St. John's Trojans on Tuesday with plenty of help from Wurtz, who shot 48% from the field on her way to 31 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Clifton-Clyde's points.
Another player making a difference was Paige Joy, who posted eight points and seven boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played.
Clifton-Clyde's victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
