Last Tuesday, it was close, but Wharton sidestepped Freedom for a 3-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

On the hitting side, Wharton let Justis Meadows and Jarius Morris run wild. Meadows went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Morris went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Chamberlain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Hillsborough. That's two games in a row now that the Storm have lost by exactly two runs.

At the plate, Chamberlain saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Hyde, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Wharton's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Chamberlain, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
Chamberlain's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Wharton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Chamberlain, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will Wharton keep running through batters, or will Chamberlain buck the trend?
Everything went Wharton's way against Chamberlain in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Wharton made off with a 14-4 victory. Will Wharton repeat their success, or does Chamberlain has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
