Even though the Riverview Sarasota Rams scored an imposing 61 points on Thursday, the Cardinal Mooney Cougars still came out on top. In a tight  matchup that could have gone either way, Cardinal Mooney made off with a  62-61 victory over Riverview Sarasota. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for Cardinal Mooney.
  Connor Heald was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 25 points. The  contest was  his sixth in a row with at least ten points.  Sean Scurry was another key contributor,  scoring ten points along with eight  assists and five  rebounds.
 Cardinal Mooney is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Riverview Sarasota, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-5.
 Cardinal Mooney's road trip will continue as they head out to face Archbishop Moeller at 7:45  p.m.  on December 29th. Archbishop Moeller will be coming into the  contest with an undefeated record on the line. Riverview Sarasota won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Newsome at 6:15  p.m.  on December 29th.
