The Dexter Tigers lost against the George Stevens Academy Eagles on January 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Dexter fell 58-48 to George Stevens Academy.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zak Adams, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Adams continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Doherty, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Dexter's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for George Stevens Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Dexter will be playing in front of their home fans against Bangor Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maine (Bangor Christian is ranked 40th, while Dexter is ranked 63rd). As for George Stevens Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Piscataquis at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Piscataquis will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
