Milwaukee Reagan is 0-3 against Germantown since April of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Huskies will head out on the road to take on the Warhawks at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
While Milwaukee Reagan's win against Augustine Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies had just enough and edged out the Lions 8-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Cullen O'Keefe was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Litchford, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Germantown came tearing into Saturday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Chargers.
Logan Zaverl tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ian Demichiel, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. Vinny Inga was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Germantown's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Milwaukee Reagan, their record is now 16-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Milwaukee Reagan has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Germantown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Milwaukee Reagan might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Germantown in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
