The Paraclete Spirits will head out to face off against the Bishop Amat Lancers at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Paraclete is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Paraclete is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 23-3 margin over University Prep last Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Spirits, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Jessa Hettiger made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Hettiger was even better at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Averie May was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Norah Javorsek also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Paraclete always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as University Prep only posted an OBP of .407.
Meanwhile, Bishop Amat posted their closest victory since March 5th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Granada Hills Charter, sneaking past 8-7.
Alyssa Lyles looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Samantha Garcia, who fired off two home runs and one stolen base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Katie Vazquez (NMHU), who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.
Paraclete's record is now 17-2. As for Bishop Amat, their record now sits at 8-13.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Paraclete hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Bishop Amat struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Paraclete was able to grind out a solid win over Bishop Amat in their previous meeting last Tuesday, winning 7-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spirits since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
