After low-scoring totals in their previous three game, Hawken brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They put the hurt on the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers with a sharp 10-1 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won nine contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Miles Hamilton, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Grant Namy, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Hawken has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Western Reserve Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season.

Hawken has already played their next contest, a 14-13 victory against Cleveland Heights on the 19th. Western Reserve Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
