On Tuesday, Camden County came up short against Impact Christian Academy and fell 64-51.
Despite the loss, Camden County still got an impressive performance from Elyiss Williams, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Williams is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ja'Marley Riddle, who scored five points along with four steals.
It was another big night for Taylor Thompson, who scored 24 points along with two steals for Impact Christian Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thompson has scored all season. Ronald Clark was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists and five steals.
Camden County's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Impact Christian Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camden County will take on Colquitt County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Colquitt County is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Impact Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Providence School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence School presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Impact Christian Academy in Florida (Providence School is ranked 19th, while Impact Christian Academy is ranked 179th).
