The Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 20 points or more this season. They really took it to Monroe County for the full four quarters, racking up a 105-66 win on the road. The victory was nothing new for Gatlinburg-Pittman as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Ty Glasper continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-8 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 33 points and 12 assists. The contest was his 18th in a row with at least ten points. Carlos Orr was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Gatlinburg-Pittman's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Monroe County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Gatlinburg-Pittman will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Oneida at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Monroe County and Russell County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Russell County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Monroe County likes a good challenge.
