The Menaul Panthers stacked a fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 62-27 victory over Cottonwood Classical Prep. The victory was nothing new for Menaul as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Menaul's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charli Boatman, who scored 22 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Boatman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blanca Riera, who scored 15 points along with eight steals and two blocks.
Menaul pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Menaul's road trip will continue as they head out to face To'hajiilee at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (To'hajiilee is ranked 77th, while Menaul is ranked 56th). As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they will be playing at home against Valley at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
