Basketball Recap: Whittier RVT Has No Trouble Against Northeast Metro RVT

There's no place like home for Whittier RVT, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 77-51 margin over the Northeast Metro RVT Knights on Monday. The matchup marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Whittier RVT's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayvian Rosario led the charge by putting up 22 points. Rosario's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Stephen Artemis, who posted 17 points.

Northeast Metro RVT's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeanahel Exilus, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave Exilus a new career-high in rebounds. Bobby Connolly was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Whittier RVT is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game.
