 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Douglas County West  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most two  strikeouts in five consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.

 Douglas County West will face off against Plattsmouth at 8:00  p.m.  on Friday. Plattsmouth has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven  runs per game on average), something Douglas County West will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Omaha Westside, they will take on Ralston at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
