Deposit-Hancock's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 68-61 to Susquehanna Valley. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Deposit-Hancock still got an impressive performance from Blake Fortunato, who scored 39 points. Fortunato is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Reis, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Deposit-Hancock has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Susquehanna Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deposit-Hancock's road trip will continue as they head out to face Unatego at 7:15 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully Deposit-Hancock focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Saturday. As for Susquehanna Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Homer at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Susquehanna Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 263 points over their last four matchups.
