New Milford lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacob Czupkowski, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Czupkowski posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Gee, who scored 14 points.
Even though they lost, New Milford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Pomperaug's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for New Milford, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Pomperaug will look to defend their home court on Friday against Joel Barlow at 7:00 p.m. Joel Barlow has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for New Milford, they will head out on the road to challenge Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Stratford is ranked 130th, while New Milford is ranked 155th).
