On Friday, Jefferson are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Muscatine at 7:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Jefferson couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-34 punch to the gut against Kennedy last Friday.
Muscatine had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They captured a comfortable 23-6 win over Davenport Central.
Muscatine's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Jefferson's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Muscatine can add another positive mark to their record or if Jefferson can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Muscatine's step.
