The Silver Creek Raptors will square off against the Legacy Lightning Bolt at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Silver Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Silver Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over Skyline.
The team relied heavily on Brody Simpson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathen Canfield, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Legacy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Trojans a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lightning Bolt, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.
Gavin Greene looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Legacy got a massive performance out of Jack Schoenheider, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kellen (KC) Reiser, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Legacy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.
Silver Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Legacy, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Silver Creek has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like Legacy struggles in that department as they've averaged .521. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Silver Creek suffered a grim 14-7 defeat to Legacy in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Will the Raptors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
