Baldwin is 9-1 against Bishop Snyder since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Indians will face off against the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Baldwin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Trinity Christian Academy as they made off with a 15-1 victory.

Hayden Peebles was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Baldwin let Madison Crews and Makaila Fry run wild. Crews went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Fry got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four runs gave Fry a new career-high. Raven Watson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Baldwin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Bishop Snyder hadn't done well against Bradford recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Tornadoes. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won three in a row.
Chloe Gotto and Caitlyn Boshell made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Gotto pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Meanwhile, Boshell pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Gotto went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Boshell went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Lola Aberly was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Faith Bennett, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bishop Snyder pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Baldwin, their record now sits at 17-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Baldwin has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bishop Snyder struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Baldwin took their victory against Bishop Snyder in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
