Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

The Unity Christian Academy Warriors didn't have quite enough to beat the Pitt County P Pacers on Friday and fell 28-26.

Despite the defeat, Unity Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kayleigh Ballance shot 50% from the field on her way to 18 points and three steals. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Ballance.

Unity Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Pitt County P, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Christian Academy will welcome New Life Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pitt County P, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jacksonville Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 2.
