It was a good run, but Harding Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 47-38 to the Millington Central Trojans.

Harding Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brynne Miller, who posted 12 points and three steals. Miller has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Niya Evans, who put up nine points.

Millington Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alissa Carpenter led the charge by putting up nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Whiten, who earned six points.

Harding Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Millington Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Harding Academy Lions duke it out with the Arlington Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Millington Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-59 win against Dyer County on the 9th.
