Baseball Recap: Clint Has No Trouble Against Fabens

After only one run in their last match, Clint made sure to put some runs up on the board against Fabens on Thursday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Wildcats. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Joe Aranda made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Aranda was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abraham Medina, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mario Pacheco, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Clint kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Clint has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Fabens, they dropped their record down to 14-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Clint has already played their next game, a 14-3 win against Mountain View on the 22nd. As for Fabens, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 victory against San Elizario on the 22nd.
