Basketball Recap: Albertville Piles Up the Points Against Boaz

Albertville won the last time they faced Boaz and things went their way on Monday too. The Albertville Aggies claimed a resounding 65-34 victory over the Boaz Pirates. The Aggies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lillac Stanton, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Breanna Gentry, who put up five points and five rebounds.

Albertville's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Boaz, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Albertville will welcome Arab on Friday. One thing working in Albertville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Boaz, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-48 victory against Jasper on the 17th.
