On Friday, Terra Linda got the win against Churchill County by a conclusive 67-47. The victory was all the more spectacular given Terra Linda's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 374th in California, while Churchill County is ranked 56th in Nevada).
Churchill County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Luke Glinka, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Braden Sorensen, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Terra Linda has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Churchill County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Kennedy the next time they take the court. Churchill County will head out to face Kennedy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while Terra Linda will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
