The Everglades Gators suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. Their tough 60-40 loss to Miramar might stick with them for a while. Everglades was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Miramar apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Several Gators players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daunte Foster, Jr, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lance Bailey, Jr, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Leading Miramar to victory were Zayvian Bieger and Nehemiah Jean-Charles. Bieger scored 15 points along with six steals and three blocks, while Jean-Charles dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Bieger has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jared Williams, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Everglades are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6. As for Miramar, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Everglades' road trip will continue as they head out to face Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. As for Miramar, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Miami Country Day at 1:00 p.m.
