This season hasn't been kind to the Jackson-Olin Mustangs, who are still winless after their tenth match. They took a 38-24 bruising from Foley on Friday. While losing is never fun, Jackson-Olin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Foley is ranked 51st).
Jackson-Olin's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Aydden Moody, who rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Orange, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
It was another big night for Kolton Nero, who rushed for 331 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry.
Jackson-Olin bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.6 points per game. As for Foley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5.
Jackson-Olin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Foley also has no future games currently scheduled.
