Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Takes a Loss

The Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints didn't have quite enough to beat the Fort Wayne Wayne Generals on Friday and fell 3-2.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger actually scored more points across those five sets (104-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 23-25, 12-25, 25-15, 16-14.

Fort Wayne Wayne's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Saige Clark, who had six aces and four digs. Those four digs gave Clark a new career-high.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Fort Wayne Wayne, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger will head out to square off against Fort Wayne South Side at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Wayne Wayne, they will venture away from home to challenge Norwell at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
