Sabetha has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Silver Lake Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Sabetha never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Atchison County last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 71-6 at home.
Colin Menold had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 99 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Menold was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 54 yards. Mitchell Kramer was another key contributor, rushing for 31 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Silver Lake entered their tilt with Minneapolis with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Silver Lake blew past Minneapolis, posting a 58-7 victory at home.
Sabetha's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Silver Lake, their victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1.
Sabetha came out on top in a nail-biter against Silver Lake in their previous meeting back in November of 2017, sneaking past 17-14. Will Sabetha repeat their success, or does Silver Lake have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
