Softball Recap: Buckingham Wins Going Away Against Cumberland

Buckingham came out on top against Cumberland on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Knights blew past the Dukes 11-1. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Buckingham now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Cumberland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Buckingham is set to square off against their familiar foe Amelia County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 2.9, the Raiders 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Cumberland will face off against rival Prince Edward County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
