Tyngsborough will challenge Littleton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tyngsborough has six straight wins, Littleton has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Tyngsborough and Hudson meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Hawks. Considering the Tigers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kiley Hogan was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Kristin Deschenes was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Adrianna Arsenault was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Tyngsborough kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Littleton didn't have quite enough to beat Tahanto Regional on Wednesday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one run.
Tyngsborough pushed their record up to 12-1-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Littleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
Littleton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tyngsborough has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Littleton, though, as they've been averaging 10.4 hits. Given Tyngsborough's sizable advantage in that area, Littleton will need to find a way to close that gap.
Tyngsborough took their victory against Littleton in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 22-2 score. Will Tyngsborough repeat their success, or does Littleton has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
