The HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots lost against Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. HomeSchool Resource Center took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for HomeSchool Resource Center in their matchups with Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats: they've now lost nine in a row.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Fredrick Jefferson, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Jefferson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason O'Neal, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, HomeSchool Resource Center were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their 12th loss (out of 20 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
HomeSchool Resource Center has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10.
HomeSchool Resource Center on the road again on Monday and play against Illinois C at 6:45 p.m. on January 15th. Illinois C comes in on a streak of failing to score more than zero points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside L at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside L presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats in Indiana (Northside L is ranked 82nd, while Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats is ranked 271st).
