Mamaroneck has been on the road for three straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Ossining Pride at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Mamaroneck gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 51-17 victory over New York School for the Deaf. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-6.
Meanwhile, Ossining had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 71-54 win over Greeley.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ossining to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nicole Perriott, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 20 rebounds. Perriott is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last four games she's played. Claire Schnecker was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists.
Mamaroneck's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Ossining, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.
Mamaroneck came up short against Ossining when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 67-58. Thankfully for Mamaroneck, Angelica Rios (who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two blocks) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
