 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Payne to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Dax Varnadore, who threw for 163 yards and two touchdowns.  Aidan Rains made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
 Special teams also played a big role in the game for Fort Payne, adding 17 points to the final score. All came courtesy of  Conner Matthew Hughes: he went 4-for-4 kicking field goals for 12 points, and 5-for-5  kicking extra points for an additional five.
 The  victory  got Fort Payne back to even at 2-2. As for Mae Jemison, they now  have a losing record at 2-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Payne will challenge Mortimer Jordan at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Fort Payne is facing Mortimer Jordan at the right time seeing as Mortimer Jordan is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Mae Jemison, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Sparkman  at 7:00  p.m. Sparkman will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  points each  match than the last.
