Shelley entered their tilt with Malad on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Dragons. That's more bragging rights for the Russets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Their offense was headlined by Macie Winder and Jaida Cook, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Mallory Higham and her 19 assists. Finally, she was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Shelley's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Malad, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Shelley has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Rigby on the 23rd. As for Malad, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bear Lake at 7:00 p.m. on September 3.
