Basketball Recap: Camp Verde Extends Winning Streak to Four

Camp Verde extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Jordan McMahon-Fullmer. The Camp Verde Cowboys walked away with a 62-54 win over the Phoenix Christian Cougars on Friday thanks in part to McMahon-Fullmer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 20 boards. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Alex Ruiz was another key player, putting up six points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played.

Camp Verde's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Phoenix Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camp Verde will venture away from home to challenge Scottsdale Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Camp Verde has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 205 points over their last three matchups. Phoenix Christian has already played their next game (against Madison Highland Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
