The Knott County Central Patriots will take on the Westmoreland Eagles in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Knott County Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Even though Spring Valley scored an imposing 64 points on Saturday, Knott County Central still came out on top. Knott County Central pulled ahead with a 65-64 photo finish over Spring Valley.
Meanwhile, Westmoreland beat Portland 56-47 on Friday.
Knott County Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Westmoreland, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
