South Paulding is 0-10 against the Jaguar since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The South Paulding Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the New Manchester Jaguar at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though South Paulding has not done well against the Patriots recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. South Paulding came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 52-41. South Paulding didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Paulding to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chloe Vandyke, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chrissy Warner, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, New Manchester came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Newnan as New Manchester made off with a 66-46 victory. New Manchester has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.
South Paulding is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season. As for New Manchester, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4.
South Paulding was dealt a bruising 62-33 loss at the hands of the Jaguar when the teams last played back in January. Can South Paulding avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
