Tawas Area extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 6-10 in the process. Everything went their way against the Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts as they made off with a 14-1 victory. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.

Leif Guillotel was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Mason Michalski was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Tawas Area was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .586. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in five consecutive contests.

As for Mio-Au Sable, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. The game marked their lowest-scoring match so far this season.

On Mio-Au Sable's side, N Boright made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Boright has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. J Cooper also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Tawas Area has already played their next contest (against Mio HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mio-Au Sable, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hale at 4:00 p.m. on the 27th.
