Football Recap: Berwick Skates Past Hanover Area with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berwick). They blew past the Hanover Area Hawkeyes, posting a 56-19 victory. With the Bulldogs ahead 35-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Although Hanover Area took the loss, they still got scores from Conor Richardson and Deacon Eisenbach.

Berwick's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.7 points over those games. As for Hanover Area, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Berwick is set to square off against their familiar foe Wyoming Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 8.8, the Warriors 11) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Hanover Area will face off against rival Tunkhannock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That match will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Dewayne Downey and Lucas Ciprich.
