The Rosman Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 29 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Madison 73-22 at home. Rosman's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Rosman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexi Powell (sykes) out in front who scored 19 points. The contest was Powell (sykes)'s fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alissa Cheek, who scored 17 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Rosman and bumps their season record up to 10-3. As for Madison, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7.
Rosman will head out on the road to face off against Owen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Owen is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Madison, they will be playing at home against Draughn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Draughn is ranked 328th, while Madison is ranked 345th).
