Basketball Recap: Addie Kelso's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Switzerland County over Franklin County

After flying high against Christian Academy last Saturday, Switzerland County came back down to earth. The Switzerland County Pacers came up short against the Franklin County Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 62-41. The Pacers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.

Several Pacers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addie Kelso, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 15 points. The matchup was Kelso's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bri Stow, who went 6 of 13 en route to 14 points and five rebounds.

It was another big night for Ruby Singer, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds for Franklin County. With that strong performance, Singer is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Madesyn Sunderhaus, who posted eight points and nine steals.

Switzerland County's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Franklin County, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-6.

Switzerland County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-44 defeat against Shawe Memorial on the 14th. As for Franklin County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 43-41 win against North Decatur on the 12th.
