Wayland won the last time they met up with Concord-Carlisle, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Wayland took the match and then some with a 35-0 win on Friday over Concord-Carlisle. Wayland were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
The victory bumped Wayland's record up to 3-1. The loss dropped Concord-Carlisle back to even at 2-2.
Wayland will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Newton South. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both of those teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up. Concord-Carlisle will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against Newton South at Memorial Field @ Concord Carlisle in two weeks at 7:00 PM.
