The Elkhart Wildcats were the 57-13 winner over the Eads Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Elkhart was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 46-45 to Eads.
Eads can attribute much of their success to Porter Spady, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Case Nelson, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Elkhart now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Eads, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Elkhart will face off against Cheyenne Wells at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eads, they will head out on the road to face off against Syracuse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
