The Gulf Buccaneers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 71-24 win over Hudson at home. That looming 71-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Gulf yet this season.
Brenniyah Hall was a one-man wrecking crew for Gulf as she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds.
Several Cobras players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was cloie hagin, who scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points hagin has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hudson struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Gulf's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Hudson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Gulf will stay at home for another game and welcome Fivay at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Fivay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 41 on Tuesday. As for Hudson, they will head out on the road to face off against Anclote at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
