Leading Brookfield to victory were Mya Jumper and Cailey Wellman. Jumper scored 14 points along with three steals, while Wellman dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Wellman is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marae Craig, who scored two points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Garfield's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Zoey May, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds, and Charlee Hill who scored eight points.
Brookfield's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-12. As for Garfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Brookfield will stay at home for another game and welcome the Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. As for Garfield, they will head out on the road to face off against the Badgers at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
