The Victory Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 72-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ahoskie Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ahoskie Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Knowles, who scored 25 points along with three steals. Knowles hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Tyler Berryman, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Victory Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Ahoskie Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victory Christian will take on Rock Church at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rock Church is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Ahoskie Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Mount Calvary Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Mount Calvary Christian Academy has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28.
