The St. Michael's Crusaders put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Anderson on the road to the tune of 63-34. Given St. Michael's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Anderson is ranked 983rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Michael's found their leader in underclassman Bo Ogden, who scored 22 points along with 5 rebounds. The game was Ogden's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sugeeth Jinkal, who scored 10 points.
St. Michael's pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Anderson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.
Coincidentally, St. Michael's and Anderson will both be playing Alief Elsik the next time they take the court. St. Michael's will head out to face Alief Elsik at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, while Anderson will head out to face them at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.
