After flying high against the Wheeler Bearcats last Thursday, the Boone Grove Wolves came back down to earth. Boone Grove took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluejays on Saturday. Boone Grove lost against the Bluejays in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 68-24 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Boone Grove lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jack Stevens. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with two steals. Stevens is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Noonan, who scored 15 points.
Boone Grove now has a losing record at 8-9. As for North Judson-San Pierre, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
Boone Grove will be playing at home against the Fighting Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they will head out on the road to face off against the Comets at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
