The Woodlake Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 49-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orange Cove. Woodlake has not had much luck with Orange Cove recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Woodlake lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hugo Cruz, who scored 13 points. Joseph Avilez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Woodlake bumped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Orange Cove, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Woodlake will head out on the road to face off against Orosi at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orange Cove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Corcoran at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Corcoran will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
