After a string of three wins, the Haverling Rams's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. Their  rough  72-51 defeat to Hornell  might stick with them for a while. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Haverling in their matchups with Hornell: they've now lost five in a row.
  Jacob Hagadone and  Austin Durand certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss.  Hagadone  scored 25 points along with six  rebounds, while  Durand  scored 12 points. That was a full 49% of Haverling's points, marking the 17th time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lawrence Duncan iv, who  scored eight points along with nine  rebounds.
 Haverling's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Hornell, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
 Haverling will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against Dansville at 7:00  p.m.  on February 9th. Hopefully Haverling focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for Hornell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wellsville at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hornell knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Wellsville likes a good challenge.
