Otis has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Idalia has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Bulldogs will host the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Otis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season.
Otis is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Stratton, who was ranked seventh at the time (Otis was ranked 16th). The Bulldogs took a 22-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Although Otis took the loss, they still got scores from Mitchell Stivers and Cambric Klinzmann.
Meanwhile, Idalia took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 60-6 win over Genoa-Hugo. Fans of the Wolves have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Otis better keep an eye on Kolby Morris. He was instrumental in Idalia's win, rushing for 62 yards and one score on only five carries.
Idalia's run defense was locked in: Genoa-Hugo could only muster 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Jace Morris for the heroic effort on defense: he. Idalia didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.8.
Idalia didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Broderick Kite and Hayden Drullinger. Kite got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Idalia's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Otis, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Otis has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 286.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Idalia struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 266.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Otis beat Idalia 33-20 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
